(JEM) vehemently denounces the atrocious massacre carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Friday, September 27th. The RSF&#8217;s artillery bombardment targeted the livestock market (Almawashi), shelters for displaced persons, and residential neighbourhoods in the city of El Fasher. This cowardly attack resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians, predominantly women, children, and the elderly, underscoring the militia&#8217;s ongoing assaults on defenceless civilians in populated areas.<\/p>\n<p>This atrocity is part of a broader pattern of violations by the RSF militia, which include killing, looting, rape, and forced displacement. These actions have repeatedly demonstrated the militia&#8217;s willingness to commit the most egregious crimes against humanity, leading to the deaths of hundreds of civilians in recent months and depriving citizens of essential food and medical supplies in many regions.<\/p>\n<p>(JEM) honours the victims, wishes a swift recovery for the injured, and asserts that the RSF&#8217;s actions constitute an egregious crime and a blatant violation of human rights under international humanitarian law. It has become evident that the RSF continues its crimes with impunity, necessitating an urgent response from the international community. We, therefore, urge the international community to swiftly condemn these crimes, hold the perpetrators accountable, and classify the RSF as a terrorist organization.
